Con la presencia de artistas destacados como Justin Bieber, Selena Gómez, Nicki Minaj, Kim Kardashian y Rebacca Black, se celebró la ceremonia en la que el premio mayor, al Mejor video del año, fue para Firework, de la cantante Katy Perry, quien, al igual que Adele, se llevó tres premios; entre estos, por Mejores efectos especiales y Mejor colaboración, ambos por E.T., junto a Kanye West.

En este escenario, lleno de creatividad, se presentó Lady Gaga, quien recibió el premio por Mejor video femenino. Llegó vestida de hombre, para presentar un homenaje a Britney Spears, quien además recibió la estatuilla de Mejor video pop del año.

El premio a Mejor artista nuevo fue para Tyler The Creator, entregado por Selena Gómez.

En las presentaciones en vivo para amenizar la noche figuraron Chris Brown, Beyonce, Adele, Pitbull y Ne Yo, Katy Perry y Justin Bieber.

Entre las sorpresas agradables, destacó el momento en que el esposo de Katy Perry, Russell Brand, presentó el homenaje a la gran voz británica, Amy Winehouse. Tony Bennett participó en este show homenaje, recordando sus duetos con la artista británica, y Bruno Mars que interpretó la canción Valerie.

Durante el fin de semana hubo un tiroteo en una calle muy famosa de la Zona Viva. Murió una chava que no tenía nada que ver en el relajo. Es lamentable que este tipo de cosas sucedan, ya que como dice la Biblia: “Justos pagan por pecadores”, y no es justo que pasen este tipo de cosas a personas como ella que sólo salió a celebrar algo en una noche cualquiera y al final resultó muerta.

Todos los días en mi cabeza me pasa la misma pregunta: ¿qué hacer?, ¿qué hago para cambiar esto?... No soy “alguien” a quien le pongan atención para que todos cambien. ¿Y si armo una marcha exigiendo paz, qué logro con eso? Estas preguntas me pasan todos los días y no consigo responderlas. De verdad quisiera hacer algo para cambiar la situación de mi país y aun no tengo la respuesta.

Lo único que puedo hacer es actuar sin violencia, fomentar la paz y el respeto entre las personas con las que convivo a diario y esperar que mi actitud sea copiada por ellos mas adelante. El cambio inicia con nuestro cambio de actitud!

Salen Los Minero en Chile Despues De Casi 70 Dias

Mina San José, Chile. - El rescate de los 33 mineros atrapados en Chile, la mayor operación de su tipo en la historia, terminará esta semana con una serie de hazañas, peleas y vanidades enmarcadas en uno de los desiertos más secos del mundo.

Combatientes de la guerra de Irak, astronautas, amantes y esposas abrazadas, payasos callejeros, psicólogos y técnicos mineros constituyen el micromundo que gira en torno al rescate de los mineros y sus familias en la bocamina del yacimiento San José, citó DPA.

La operación, que para muchos era imposible en un inicio, será transmitida en vivo a cinco continentes por 1.600 corresponsales e incluso es posible que los propios mineros presencien por televisión a 700 metros bajo tierra su inédito rescate.

La mayor hazaña, sin duda, es psicológica. No en vano los trabajadores resistieron ordenados y sin conflictos durante 17 días y sin contacto con la superficie, comiendo dos cucharadas de atún y una de leche cada dos días.

En esas horas, "el momento más duro fue cuando falló la primera perforación que iba hacia la galería donde estaban atrapados", dijo a dpa el psicólogo jefe del rescate, Alberto Iturra, ex asesor de medallistas olímpicos de tiro al blanco.

Los ductos de apenas diez centímetros de diámetro y 700 metros de largo constituyen el cordón umbilical por el cual las fuerzas de rescate envían alimentos, mensajes y vituallas a los mineros, estableciendo además comunicación telefónica y por videoconferecias.

Lindsay Lohan Will Go to Rehab...Again

Just days after being released from jail, Lindsay Lohan has decided to head back to rehab to try to clean up her act, a source tells E! News.

For real this time.

The source says that Lohan is considering the famed Betty Ford Center near Palm Springs, but nothing is official. There's also no word on exactly when Lohan plans to check-in.

Lohan came to this decision after getting out of jail late Friday night, where she was originally sentenced to 30 days with no bail, because of a failed drug test.

If rehab doesn't work, perhaps a therapy session with Alec Baldwin will.

Either way, the celeb has a probation hearing on Oct. 22.

Don't Have a Cow, Elmo. Katy Perry Bags Sesame Street for The Simpsons

Coming on the heels of all that was Cleavagegate, it's just been announced that Katy Perry will be hanging out for with some of the boobs over in Springfield during a holiday-themed episode of The Simpsons.

But rather than being animated, the "Hot N Cold" singer will appear, appropriately, in the flesh as part of a live-action segment featuring several of the show's characters as puppets, Fox confirms to E! News.

"In the wake of Elmo's terrible betrayal, the Simpsons puppets wish to announce they stand felt-shoulder-to-shoulder with Katy Perry," said series executive producer Al Jean.

And much like her almost-stint on Sesame Street, Perry will be heard belting one out during the Dec. 5 episode (which was actually shot earlier this month, prior to the brouhaha over her breasts)—in this case, "The 39 Days of Christmas" as, of all things, tavern owner Moe Szyslak's girlfriend.

Si no teníamos poco con el Umbrella a todas horas en la radio, viene Jay-Z y presenta nuevo disco, que será ya el décimo de su carrera si no tenemos en cuenta recopilatorios y demás.

Sobre el disco, que se llamará American Gangster, el propio Jay-Z ha comentado que contará con influencias que hasta ahora no había probado pero sin perder la esencia que siempre ha tenido de hip-hop y rap.

El álbum tiene el mismo nombre que la película protagonizada por Denzel Washington y Russell Crowe, no siendo esto casual. El propio Jay-Z comentó que cada canción está basada en una escena específica de la película, como si de la propia BSO se tratase.
